Resident moisture in grain is the highest contributing risk factor when it comes to safe grain storage practices. It is the moisture inside of the grain that plays the key role in starting various degenerative cycles like heat damage, shrinkage, moulds and fungus that in time completely destroys the grain.

This is why continuous sampling, monitoring and measurements are required to keep grain moisture percentages below the legislated and recommended safe storage percentages.
